Working closely with the Vice-Chancellor, this role provides high level executive and administrative support, assisting with organising and prioritising the work of the Vice-Chancellor, carrying out research, compiling briefing notes from different sources, making extensive travel arrangements, organising meetings and providing excellent diary and email management.
Educated to degree level or with equivalent experience, applicants should be confident and proactive with the ability to work using their own initiative and judgement. First-class secretarial and organisational skills are essential, as are excellent written communication skills and command of the English language. A willingness to work flexibly is necessary in order to meet the demands of the role.
The role is to provide cover for a member of staff seconded elsewhere in the University and is available from September 2017 for one year or the return of the post holder, whichever is the earlier.
