Year 6 & Verifications Administrator


Applications are invited for the post of Year 6 & Verifications Administrator within the Education Division of the School of Clinical Medicine, based on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. The role holder will be a key member of the Division's Curriculum Team which is responsible for the administration of the clinical components of the University's medical courses.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Education Division with its imminent expansion of clinical student numbers and recent changes to the clinical curriculum. The post holder will be the first point of contact for any matters regarding Year 6 (final year) of the medical course and will be responsible for timetabling the Year 6 cohort of students, for ensuring the successful delivery of teaching and other events related to Year 6, and for all other administrative matters relating to the final year of the course. They will also be responsible for the verification service for current and former students, providing verification of their performance whilst on the Clinical course when requested. In addition, they will be the Division's point of contact for the General Medical Council (GMC) as regards the pre-registration of final year students, and they will also administer the 'Transfer of Information' process between the Clinical School, and the NHS Trusts which students will be moving into.

The ideal candidate will be educated to A Level standard or equivalent and requires previous administration experience, preferably in a Higher Education environment. They will possess excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, strong prioritisation skills with an adaptable and flexible work ethic, and excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with individuals at all levels of seniority and to deal sensitively with students and staff. Previous experience of working within the University of Cambridge and/or the NHS is desirable.
