Applications are invited for a new Administrative Assistant within the Education Division of the School of Clinical Medicine, based on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. The role holder will support the Division's Curriculum, Assessment, and Deanery Administration teams which are responsible for the administration of the clinical components of the University's medical courses.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Education Division with its imminent expansion of clinical student numbers and recent changes to the clinical curriculum. The post holder will provide critical support to various areas of work including helping to organise the Clinical Introductory Course for incoming students to the Clinical School; responsibility for coordinating the room bookings for all of the medical teaching; maintaining hard copy student files and online records; and other administrative activities to support the Division such as events organisation and ordering student supplies. The postholder will provide flexible support to a number of teams and individuals within the Division at busy times of year.
The ideal candidate will be educated to GCSE standard or equivalent with previous administration experience, preferably in a Higher Education environment. They will possess strong organisational skills, a flexible work ethic, and good communication and interpersonal skills. Previous experience of working within the University of Cambridge is desirable.
