School Partnership Administrator

The Faculty of Education is seeking to appoint a good team player with excellent organisational and communication skills, to join the Primary PGCE administration team. The post holder has particular responsibility for the administration of the partnership of local primary schools, with whom we have an excellent close working relationship.

The range of duties includes maintaining and updating the database of partnership schools, contacting schools to solicit placements, preparing and updating documentation for schools and mentors, organising Partnership days for mentors and maintaining and updating the partnership Moodle site. In addition, the person appointed will be expected to work as part of the team undertaking all aspects of the administration of the course, including involvement in assessment and examination processes, organising and minuting meetings, and answering queries from teaching colleagues and trainees undertaking the course.

The person appointed will have a good general education, a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Access, and good interpersonal skills including the ability to deal with a wide range of people including staff, school colleagues and trainees via email, phone, and face-to-face contact.
