Applications are invited for a self-motivated, enthusiastic Research Assistant to join a research programme led by Professor Patrick Maxwell working on oxygen sensing pathways.
The post holder will support the day-to-day running and operation of the laboratory: providing a high standard of technical support to staff and students; monitoring and purchasing lab consumables and equipment; assisting with experiments; ensuring health and safety policies are followed.
A sound background in molecular and cell biology is essential and should ideally include the manipulation of mammalian and other cell types, western blot analysis; knowledge of protein expression and immunoprecipitation, flow cytometric analysis and immunocytochemistry of cultured cells and tissues.
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 13 January 2020 in the first instance.
