Senior Associate Director - Regional Programmes

The University of Cambridge seeks an outstanding individual for the position of Senior Associate Director, Regional Programmes. Joining at a critical and exciting time, following the successful public launch of our £2 billion campaign (, this is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the Development and Alumni Relations, University Wide fundraising team.

Building on the success of the University's current fundraising structure, you will draw on your experience to develop the Regional fundraising programme to meet the needs of the Campaign as they develop. Demonstrating exceptional leadership you will drive the vision for a collaborative and interdisciplinary programme ensuring that all potential gift opportunities are realised.

Responsible for identifying and securing donations in excess of £1 million, you will work in partnership with world class academics and leaders across the University to deliver transformative philanthropic gifts, ensuring that the University of Cambridge continues to deliver pioneering research and educate outstanding graduates.

You will have a proven track record of securing gifts of over £1 million in a higher education environment, and in implementing systems to ensure that your team delivers against defined key performance indicators. You will lead by example, setting the tone and creating an atmosphere in which your fundraisers will succeed. You will be committed to fostering professional growth and personal development, encouraging your team to reach their full potential, both individually and collectively.

Experienced in managing internal and external stakeholders at the highest level, you will have the gravitas and negotiation skills to command respect amongst senior members of the University and to develop and deepen relationships with high net worth individuals.
