Applications are invited for the post of Assessment & Examinations Administrator within the Education Division of the School of Clinical Medicine, based on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. The role holder will be a key member of the Division's Assessment Team which is responsible for the compilation, organisation and delivery of assessments and examinations for the clinical components of the University of Cambridge's medical courses.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Education Division with its imminent expansion of clinical student numbers and recent changes to the clinical curriculum. The post holder will join a team of Assessment & Examinations Administrators to support all aspects of assessment and examinations for the University's medical education programmes. They will work closely with the Sub-Dean for Assessment and a wide range of academic and administrative staff internal and external to the University, to produce the examination materials and coordinate all aspects of the exams and assessments for all years of the clinical course.
The ideal candidate will be educated to A Level standard or equivalent and requires previous administration experience, preferably in a Higher Education environment within an assessment setting. They will possess excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, strong prioritisation skills with an adaptable and flexible work ethic, and excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with individuals at all levels of seniority and to deal sensitively with students and staff and with confidential information. Strong numeracy skills and the ability to understand complex results information and provide a summary for committees are essential. Previous experience of working within the University of Cambridge and/or the NHS is desirable.
