We are looking to recruit a Research Associate based in Central Cambridge to work at the Centre for Risk Studies; a multidisciplinary research centre of excellence for the study of the management of economic and societal risks. The Centre's focus is in the analysis, assessment, and mitigation of global risk for the advancement of political, business and individual decision makers.
The purpose of this role is to support and maintain the Centre's national and international reputation for excellence in research. The Research Associate will be a member of the research team carrying out research under the direction of a principal investigator to include data collection, analysis and some interpretation.
You should be educated to postgraduate level in experimental psychology or related behavioural science discipline. Previous research experience will include research methods and techniques, including the creation of large detailed datasets from publicly sourced data, statistical analysis, and visual data modelling. You should have a good understanding of catastrophe risk from corporate and behavioural viewpoints. Strong quantitative, problem solving and Excel skills are essential. Good time management and planning skills with a commitment to delivery are a pre-requisite of this role.
This is a fixed term appointment for one year in the first instance.
