Fixed term until 31 July 2018.
This role is within the Student Registry, which has a wide range of activity including administering examinations and processing examination data, organising degree ceremonies, ensuring the accuracy of student records, administration of funding competitions, grants and loans, implementation of fee policy, and managing the Cambridge Graduate Supervision Reporting System.
The post holder will support the work of the Heads of Records and Exams and Graduate Student Administration (either directly or via Deputies); and the Fees Administrator in the delivery of core operations specifically related to records, examinations, graduate students and fees. The post holder will also take a role in the delivery of training and guidance to colleagues within and external to the Student Registry resulting from changes in business processes as an outcome of the CamSIS Improvement Project.
The post holder will be required to understand the complexities of the student journey and the impact changes to student data will have on all stakeholders. He or she will work closely with colleagues within the Student Registry to ensure activities are carried out consistently and to a high standard, and to engage in continuous improvement of business processes. The post holder will assume responsibility in a number of areas including Student Registration exercise, examination and assessment marks capture and dissemination; processing applications for changes in student status, examination reviews and allowances; and supporting the Deputy Head (Records) in the organisation and administration of Degree Ceremonies.
You should have excellent communication skills; the ability to deal with a wide range of issues simultaneously whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy; and the ability to produce clear and concise information and guidance. You will be educated to degree level and ideally will have experience of administration in a higher education setting.
