The Schools of Arts & Humanities and of the Humanities & Social Sciences are seeking an exceptional candidate to fill one of their two School Research Facilitator posts. The individual will be a catalyst and intellectual animator to develop the long-term potential of the Schools to engage with their key research funders, bringing together academic staff to secure large, high-quality, intra- and inter- School projects.
Successful candidates will have: a PhD or equivalent research qualification in the Arts, Humanities or Social Sciences; a clear understanding of the organisational culture of a large research-intensive University; strong analytical skills; excellent interpersonal and communications skills; self-motivation; a knowledge of the research environment including the research councils and other funding bodies; and enthusiasm for interdisciplinary research.
