University of Cambridge Sport is seeking to appoint a Sports Club Assistant (BUCS) to be responsible for the administration and coordination of the University Sports Clubs' involvement in the British Universities and College Sport (BUCS) competitions, as well as being the first point of contact for the University Sports Clubs in supporting their activities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen interest in sport who also has excellent administration skills.
The role holder will be responsible for building and managing positive relationships with the University's Sports Clubs, other UK Universities, BUCS and NGBs, coordinate BUCS fixtures and competitions, arrange facility bookings and organise contact details of individual Sports Clubs. S/he will have the ability to work to tight and conflicting deadlines and be able to prioritise their workload accordingly. Attention to detail and a flexible approach are key to successfully assisting the Sports Clubs in their competition matters.
Applicants must have a minimum A-Level standard of education, and knowledge of the sport club operations within the HE sector.
The funds for this post are available for 2 years in the first instance.
Interviews will be held on 10 July 2017.
