Supervisory Service Technician


We are inviting applications to join our friendly team in our modern busy research department in South Cambridge.

The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning rodent cages, operating simple machinery, dismantle and reassemble equipment for washing and sterilisation. The post holder will be responsible for prioritising the workload of the service area and supervising staff. The post will involve some lifting and manual handling. The post holder is required to have a good standard of general education. The ability to work in a team is essential and supervisory experience is desired. Experience working in this environment is desirable but not necessary as full training will be given.

The post holder will be required to work alternate shifts, day and evening to ensure both shifts work routines are optimum. The appointment is subject to a health assessment and a security check. Whether an outcome is satisfactory will be determined by the University. The post is subject to the satisfactory completion of a 6 month probationary period.
