An exciting opportunity has been created for a proactive and enthusiastic programme manager to develop the education and training strand of the new Cambridge Academy of Therapeutic Sciences. The Academy aims to establish a world-leading platform for industrial/academic collaboration in the development of pharmaceuticals and therapeutics, drawing on the breadth of expertise across the University.
You will work in partnership with people across the University and in industry to develop the education and training programme as well as contributing to the overall vision of the Academy. You will be responsible for the process of planning and developing a new modular MPhil in Therapeutic Sciences as well as seeking routes to expand current doctoral training and industry partnership in the area. In order to achieve this you will need excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships and networks. A creative approach and the ability to spot and develop potential new opportunities are essential, as is the ability to work well independently and as part of a team and meet tight deadlines.
You will have a degree in a relevant subject with a PhD or significant relevant experience, as well as knowledge of postgraduate training and professional development including experience of setting up and/or managing education and training programmes in a University or industry setting. Understanding of current trends in the bioscience industry sector and its needs and drivers in relation to education, skills and talent development would also be an advantage.
