The role holder contributes towards the smooth running of the business of Educational and Student Policy: the part of the Academic Division which has responsibility for ensuring that policies of the Education Committee and the other University and Collegiate bodies which it services are implemented.
The main theme of the activities involved is to assist in developing processes and procedures relating to activities of the section, including fulfilling the University's requirements for the provision of public information, preparation of work related to the Teaching Excellence Framework and other government requirements, and the dissemination of good practice throughout the Colleges, Faculties and Departments in areas relating to digital teaching, learning and assessment. The role holder will also be the key contact between ESP and Faculties and Departments of the School of Technology. They will be the web editor for the various websites owned by the section.
Applicants should be educated to degree level or equivalent; have previous administrative experience and demonstrable ability to prioritise work, to use own initiative and judgement and to interact with colleagues in a collegial and consensual manner.
Funding for this post is available until 31 March 2018 or the return of the role holder, whichever is the earlier. Applications are welcome from staff of the University wishing to take up the post on the basis of a secondment from their current role.
