The CRUK Cambridge Centre is seeking to recruit a Quality Assurance Manager, who will be based in the Cambridge Cancer Trials Centre, on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus.
The post holder will work in partnership with the part-time Quality Assurance (QA) Manager and co-ordinate the activities required to maintain and develop systems for assuring the quality of facilities, procedures, processes and data to the highest standards.
The post-holder will be responsible for maintaining the legal and regulatory compliance of translational research, in both clinical and laboratory settings. In addition, the QA manager will be responsible for overseeing the validation of procedures, conduct an independent auditing programme, identify areas of regulatory risk and bring these to the attention of senior staff in the CRUK Cambridge Centre.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent in a Life Science related subject area, and ideally hold a formal Quality Assurance qualification. In addition, they will have very strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and be able to explain complex regulatory issues to colleagues in a clear and logical way. They will also be able to work independently and flexibly, and will have the ability to rapidly assimilate new information and knowledge and to meet challenging deadlines.
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 2 years in the first instance.
