The EPSRC Centre for Innovative Manufacturing in Large-Area Electronics (LAE) is based on the West Cambridge site and brings together four UK academic Centres of Excellence in LAE at the University of Cambridge (Cambridge Innovation and Knowledge Centre, CIKC), Imperial College London (Centre for Plastic Electronics, CPE), Swansea University (Welsh Centre for Printing and Coating, WCPC) and the University of Manchester (Organic Materials Innovation Centre, OMIC) to create a truly representative national centre with world-class expertise in design, development, fabrication and characterisation of a wide range of devices, materials and processes.
The Centre is an outwardly focussed national centre, acting on behalf of the whole UK Large Area Electronics sector to build an active research community in LAE, improve the international profile of UK research in this field, act as a primary point of contact for LAE research, seek out opportunities for the LAE community to increase the impact of their research and to engage with the wider public.
We are seeking a part-time Centre Coordinator to provide administrative, marketing and communications support to the Centre. This will involve coordinating and monitoring operations of the Centre and liaising with the Centre Director, other office staff, co-Investigators and Researchers (PDRAs and PhD students), Companies, and Funding Agencies, along with administrative offices in the Department of Engineering and the University to facilitate the smooth running of the Centre.
You will promote the work of the Centre through marketing and communications activities including maintaining the Centre brand and web presence, publishing newsletters, producing annual reports and assisting with the organisation of events, including an annual conference.
The successful candidate will be educated to at least A level standard and have relevant administrative, marketing and communications experience.
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 30 September 2018 in the first instance.
