We are looking to recruit an additional person to join our team of cleaners that provide cleaning to a high standard to the entire Department, much of which is newly refurbished. The duties will include thorough cleaning of all areas, including research laboratories, offices, teaching and meeting rooms, kitchen, communal areas, stairways, and toilets. You will be required to work 15 hours per week, 6.00 - 9.00 am Monday to Friday.
No formal qualifications are required although NVQ 1 Cleaning Methods would be advantageous. Experience of laboratory and/or office cleaning, including experience using scrubber/polishing equipment would be beneficial. A good standard of English is required to ensure an ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions from supervisors and to understand user and safety instructions regarding the use of cleaning products. Due to the nature of the work, you also need to have a good level of physical fitness.
Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a health assessment.
