We are seeking to recruit a full-time research assistant to assist with the recruitment, testing and basic analyses of patients and healthy controls.
The Voon lab at the Department of Psychiatry, University of Cambridge focuses on understanding mechanisms underlying impulsivity and compulsivity particularly in disorders of addiction using multimodal approaches.
The Research Assistant will be responsible for day-to-day project administration, participant recruitment, cognitive and imaging testing, updating project logs, maintaining ethics approvals, data management and statistical analyses of data. If the candidate has additional skills in imaging analyses or signal processing this would be highly regarded. Training will be provided for testing paradigms and analyses.
The applicant must be self-motivated, very organized, and have good communication skills. Experience with testing in research settings within the last few years is recommended. The work will mostly be based at Addenbrookes Hospital and the Herschel Smith Building.
Applicants should possess a degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline such as neuroscience, psychology or a related science degree, experience with research testing within the last few years, have strong interpersonal skills, be flexible and be able to demonstrate clear and succinct writing skills.
Once an offer of employment has been accepted, pre-employment checks will be required. For this post these are; evidence of right to work in the UK, a Disclosure and Barring Service check (enhanced with adults' barred list) and a health assessment. This appointment also requires a Research Passport application.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 2 years in the first instance.
