Senior Accounts Clerk (Pensions Administration Section) - University applicants only

This vacancy is open to University staff only.

The Pensions Office is looking to appoint a Senior Accounts Clerk, the Pensions Section is based within the HR Division at Greenwich House.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all the accounting functions for the Cambridge University Assistants' Contributory Pension Scheme, the Cambridge Colleges Federated Pension Scheme and with effect from August 2017 the Cambridge University Press Pension Schemes including monthly reconciliations, preparation of draft scheme accounts and the running of the pensioner payroll. The candidate will be able to work to tight deadlines, prioritise their own work with minimum supervision. Candidates will need to have previous accounting experience excellent organisational and communication skills and be IT literate. Experience of running pensioner payrolls would be an advantage.

In addition, applicants should be able to demonstrate the ability to deal with all levels of staff and visitors with diplomacy and tact, and will possess good time management skills, the ability to use their own initiative and be willing to work flexibly.

The post is a full time one but applications from candidates wishing to work part time would be considered.
