Research Associate - Cortical microcircuits analysis in dementia (MEG) (Fixed Term)


Professor James Rowe is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic post doctorial scientist, to join his team at Cambridge as part of a Wellcome Trust funded program that investigates the impact of neurodegeneration on brain network function. The analysis of MEG-based neural networks, including inversion of causal models, is used to test selective vulnerability of brain networks and the role of GABA and NMDA receptors in humans.

You will have graduated in a neuroscience discipline (including cognitive, computational or imaging neuroscience), and completed your PhD (or equivalent) in a related area including functional brain imaging (M/EEG) and network analysis. You will have a PhD (or equivalent) and/or post doctoral experience in advanced brain imaging analysis with a good track record of communicating results to scientific and other audiences.

Our research group combines experience and world-class facilities at the MRC Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit (Elekta Neuromag MEG & 3T MRI) and Wolfson Brain Imaging Centre (3T and 7T MRI, and PET).
