We are seeking a part-time, experienced and highly capable Personal Assistant to support the Director of the Scott Polar Research Institute. This busy, varied and interesting role is crucial to the effective day-to-day running of the Director's Office.
It is essential that applicants have experience in a senior PA role, preferably in an academic environment, and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral. Applicants must be organised, with a high level of attention to detail, and be able to perform as part of a friendly administrative team.
Applicants should be educated at least to 'A' level, or equivalent experience, and have a good working knowledge of office IT systems. The position is part-time (0.48 FTE), working 17.5 hours per week, Monday-Thursday. Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a basic disclosure (criminal records check) check and a health assessment.
