Research Associate (Fixed Term) - Tau Aggregation in Alzheimers Disease


A Postdoctoral Research Associate is required for 6 months to work on an ongoing project on the molecular mechanism of tau aggregation and its role in Alzheimer's disease under the supervision of Professor David Klenerman in the Department of Chemistry, University of Cambridge. The project exploits methods developed to detect and characterise individual protein aggregates and aims to determine the aggregation mechanism of full length human tau in the test-tube and in cells.

The successful applicant should have a PhD in Biophysics, Chemistry or Biochemistry, and ideally have experience of working with full length tau protein and using single molecule fluorescence.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 6 months in the first instance.
