Executive Assistant

Full time - 36.5hrs pw

Providing a high-level executive and administrative support service, you will be required to manage the working day of the Pro-Vice-Chancellors and Director of Communications, using your initiative and judgement to anticipate the needs of those that you are supporting, and to ensure the smooth operation of the day to day activities of a busy office. You will have first class organisational and administrative skills as well as the ability to manage and prioritise a heavy and demanding workload, both for yourself and for those that you support.
The Pro-Vice-Chancellors' Office also works in parallel with the Vice-Chancellor's Office and you will be expected to provide cover within the VCO if the need arises.
Working with the Executive Assistant Team Leader and others members of the VCO/PVCO, you will be an integral participant in developing processes within the team, and initiating discussion for improvements in working practices. Therefore, demonstrating effective team interaction will be essential.
You will need to be educated to degree level or have relevant equivalent experience, and will possess excellent secretarial skills including word processing, dictation and diary management skills. The highest level of professionalism, discretion and diplomacy are required, along with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
