The Cambridge Institute of Public Health (CIPH) is one of the world's leading centres of expertise in the health of populations and the factors which influence global public health. It consists of members both internal and external to the University who have a breadth of expertise across the field of public health. This role will work as part of the Strategy Group and take control of delivering the vision of the Institute and communicate with all members and stakeholders to ensure engagement and cooperation in delivery.
The primary purpose of the role is to support the Institute Director, the CIPH Executive Committee, and the Director's strategy team in developing the vision and strategy of the Cambridge Institute of Public Health. The role holder will manage all available resources in order to operationalise the agreed vision and strategy, the main goal of which is to achieve a Public Health building on the Clinical School campus, drawing together all expertise in Public Health across the University into one location
You should be educated to degree level in a scientific or health related subject or equivalent experience. A PhD or equivalent research experience would be desirable. You must have a solid understanding of the Public Health scientific landscape to coordinate and contribute to strategic discussions. You will have experience in managing complex projects and a track record of delivering to deadlines. You must have excellent interpersonal skills in order to build relationships across a wide variety of stakeholders. Line management experience is essential with the ability to lead, support and motivate others.
