The Faculty of Education seeks to appoint an IT/AV Manager. The Faculty is one of the largest groups of educational researchers and teacher educators in the country and is a vibrant and very active academic community. The IT/AV office provides the IT and AV services and infrastructure for the Faculty and, as such, is a key and highly visible service.
We seek to appoint an IT specialist with experience of managing a complex technical remit and an operational team. The Faculty is engaged in a five-year strategic plan and the person appointed will have a proactive approach to keeping all aspects of the IT/AV service under review and developing provision appropriately so that the service is fit for purpose
Our successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent, or have equivalent professional experience, and will have experience of managing both a complex technical remit and an IT operational team. You will have the verbal and writing skills to be able to present ideas clearly and to create and maintain good relationships with a range of people. Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 3 years in the first instance.
