Applications are invited for a full-time or part-time Administrator to support the activities of two research groups: ABL: the Adaptive Brain Lab (http://www.abg.psychol.cam.ac.uk) and CSLB: Centre for Speech, Language and the Brain (http://csl.psychol.cam.ac.uk/). Both groups conduct research in cognitive neuroscience and ageing.
The post-holder has responsibility for providing a broad range of administrative services to support the active research of the labs, and supporting the PIs in their day-to-day running. This includes pre- and post-award research project administration, co-ordinating the production of research documentation, financial management of resources, organizing volunteers for experimental research and databases and ensuring research compliance for such studies.
This is a wide-ranging position which would suit a self-motivated individual who is experienced in working in a diverse team and able to perform effectively under multiple demands. Applicants should be educated to first degree level and have experience in a similar administrative position, ideally within in a research setting. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively are essential, as is a meticulous attention to detail. Comprehensive IT skills for administration including the use of databases are required. A high standard of numeracy with proven ability in budget creation and managing resources are essential. Applicants are expected to demonstrate a proven ability to summarise information and provide advice.
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 12 months in the first instance with a possibility of extension until 30 September 2020
